Baloney

Henry P. Baloney is a green alien who is late to school yet again. Can he come up with a good excuse to avoid Permanent Lifelong Detention? While telling his story, Henry uses words that at first appear to be from his alien language, but actually are words from Earth languages! Atherton: House of Power

Atherton is a mysterious world divided into 3 parts: the barren Flatlands, Tabletop where gardeners and farmers live, and the Highlands where the ruling aristocracy lives. Edgar is a 12 year old boy who lives in a grove in Tabletop and loves to climb. By climbing the cliffs up to the Highlands and down to the Flatlands, he learns where Atherton came from and what is going to happen to it. Meanwhile, Tabletop and the Highlands have gone to war, but can they unite to face the monstrous beasts that live in the Flatlands, and overthrow the sinister Lord Phineus? This very exciting book by Patrick Carman can be found in the juvenile fiction section.
